Easy rollover, great service

I used Beagle to consolidate an old 401k from a previous job, and the whole process was so smooth! I didn't even know I had so many hidden fees on that old account until Beagle showed me. The automated rollover service worked perfectly, and I felt like I had a really clear picture of my retirement portfolio afterward. I will definitely use Beagle again if I have another 401k to move, and I've already told a few friends about how helpful it was for me!

Found old 401k

Beagle helped me find an old 401k account. The retirement planning tool was useful. Rolled it over to a new IRA. Quick and easy.

Consistent service

This was my second time using Beagle for an old 401k. My first experience was good, and this one was just as reliable. I appreciate that their hidden fee finder works consistently. The whole rollover process for my traditional IRA was straightforward, just like last time. No surprises, which is what you want with this kind of thing. I keep coming back because it's dependable.

How does Beagle compare to something like Capitalize? They seem to do similar things.

G Greg B. 2 months ago
I looked at both. Beagle felt a bit more hands-on with the fee analysis part, like they really dig into what you're paying. Capitalize was also good for rollovers.

They're pretty similar on the rollover front. I think Beagle emphasizes finding hidden fees more, which was important to me.

Does Beagle charge you just to look for old 401ks? Or is that part free?

D Derek D. 2 months ago
Nah, finding old 401ks is free. They make their money if you decide to roll it over and manage it with them.

Can confirm, I used their tool just to see if I had anything floating around and didn't pay a dime for that part. Only if you go through with a rollover do fees kick in, I think.

Is my money safe when it's being rolled over? Like, does it sit in some temporary account or what happens?

K Kate P. 2 months ago
It's not just sitting in a random account. They use a regulated custodian. So it's still invested/held securely during the transfer, not just in limbo.

My understanding is it goes straight from your old plan to the new one you set up. Beagle just facilitates it, they don't hold the funds themselves.

how long does it typically take to roll over a 401k with Beagle? Is it a super drawn out process or pretty quick?

N Neil Whitfield 2 months ago
It wasn't instant for me, took a few weeks maybe? Depends on your old employer's plan administrator mostly, not so much Beagle.

Mine was like 3-4 weeks from start to finish. They keep you updated though, so you're not just waiting in the dark.

Thinking of signing up. Are there any new user bonuses or referral codes floating around right now?

N Noor Kim 2 months ago
They mostly do referral bonuses. Ask a friend who uses them if they have a code, you both get something that way usually.

I got a $50 bonus when I signed up through a referral link. Don't think they do public promo codes much.
